Renovations to Squadron Ops Bldgs 1050 & 1052

This project involved the complete renovation and interior reconfiguration of Squadron Operations Buildings 1050 and 1052 at Maxwell AFB to support updated operational requirements and improved space utilization.

Work included full interior demolition and renovation to provide new administrative offices, briefing rooms, conference areas, locker rooms, breakrooms, and support spaces.

Building 1050 renovations included removal of existing architectural finishes and installation of new partitions, ceilings, flooring, doors, millwork, and interior finishes, along with full replacement of electrical, communications, HVAC, plumbing, and fire alarm systems. A new wet-pipe fire suppression system was also installed to meet current life-safety requirements.

Renovation of Building 1052 included similar architectural and building system upgrades, including reconfiguration of walls and plumbing to support revised floor plans, new interior finishes, doors and hardware, and upgraded mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems throughout the facility.

Both facilities were renovated to comply with current AT/FP requirements, ADA accessibility standards, and applicable energy efficiency mandates. The project also included procurement and installation of a coordinated FF&E package consisting of systems furniture, seating, conference room tables, and related furnishings aligned with architectural layouts and power/data infrastructure.

All work was executed in accordance with applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Air Force design standards, and base-specific technical requirements.
