Controls, Electronics, and Integration (CEI) Laboratory

This project involves the construction of a new Controls, Electronics, and Integration (CEI) Laboratory at Redstone Arsenal, supporting research and development of Army aviation and missile systems. The facility includes specialized laboratory spaces, secure open storage areas, conference rooms, and administrative common areas designed to accommodate testing, integration, and operational functions.
The scope includes full site development and infrastructure improvements to support the new facility, including installation and integration of water distribution, sanitary sewer, stormwater drainage systems, and underground electrical and telecommunications utilities.
Additional site work includes grading, roadway construction, paving, sidewalks, and associated site-specific improvements to support facility access, drainage, and operational requirements.
The project also includes addressing subsurface conditions, utility conflicts, and evolving infrastructure requirements, including water line relocation, storm drainage adjustments, and electrical and telecommunications system enhancements.
The facility incorporates complex building systems and specialized infrastructure, while architectural and structural components include reinforced concrete foundations, structural framing systems, exterior envelope systems, roofing assemblies, and interior construction consisting of partitions, ceilings, doors and hardware, overhead doors, finishes, casework, and specialties.
