KC-46A ADAL Aircraft General Purpose Shop

This project consists of the construction of a new 3,422-square-foot addition and renovation of the existing Aircraft General Purpose Shop (Building 44) in support of KC-46A mission operations at MacDill Air Force Base. The addition includes tier storage facilities, an air compressor room, and all associated structural, mechanical, electrical, communications, life-safety, testing, and commissioning systems required for full operational readiness.
Renovations to the existing facility include selective demolition and reconfiguration of interior spaces to provide modernized administrative offices, restrooms, break areas, communications infrastructure, and mechanical support spaces. The project also includes installation of new HVAC systems, exhaust systems, electrical distribution, lighting, and telecommunications upgrades to enhance facility functionality and support aircraft maintenance operations.
Site improvements include civil and utility work within the project limits, incorporating drainage enhancements, underground utility connections, paving, sidewalks, fencing, and associated infrastructure improvements. The awarded scope also includes installation of a new 12-strand fiber optic telecommunications connection between Building 49 and Building 44 to support facility communications and network requirements.
