Repair Fire Alarm System, ACC/A589, F. 602, JBLE-Langley, VA

Requirements

CONSTRUCTION – The work includes the complete renovation and improvements to the fire alarm system at Facility 602. The existing system shall remain in operation during construction of the new system. The existing fire alarm system utilizes horn/strobe devices for notification and the new system will utilize voice/strobe type notification devices. Work also includes a new 1600a, 408Y/277V, 3-phase, 4-wire switchboard to replace the existing in the main electrical room. Electrical work also includes providing a 200A, 480Y /277V panelboard and 225A, 208Y/120V panelboard with dry-type transformers in each mechanical space (total of 6 spaces) to support future building requirements. Architectural work includes expanding the size of the main electrical room with new lighting, paint, carpet, doors with hardware, gypsum wall board sound attenuation insulation, and concrete floor finishing.
